About kizomba
Traditional kizomba — the slow, grounded Angolan partner dance — is making a quiet comeback. Look for classes that mention Cabo-style, tarraxinha or semba. The community is smaller than salsa or bachata but tight-knit, with strong scenes in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Festivals draw teachers from Lisbon and Luanda.
