Get your dance events in front of more dancers — free, forever

• In your dancers' phone calendar — automatically. Dancers tap once on your page, and your events live in their Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook forever. When you publish a new class, social or festival, it appears in their calendar automatically — no app required, no signup, no need for them to keep checking. This is the single most powerful thing you can give your dancers: persistent attention without being annoying.
• Designed to live in your Instagram bio. Your Active Scene page works as a link-in-bio destination — Linktree, Beacons, Stan, or just your IG bio's single link slot. Dancers tap, land on your page, see your full schedule and venues, and can subscribe to your calendar. Your portal has a share kit with a downloadable QR code and a branded share image you can drop into Stories or print on flyers — set up in 60 seconds.
• You're already on Google. Active Scene ranks for the searches dancers actually run — “salsa Manchester”, “bachata London Friday”, “kizomba near me”. Your events ride on that, on the city, style and organiser pages dancers land on.
• You don't need a website. Run your school or party series from Instagram and WhatsApp? Active Scene is your website — a real, indexable page with your bio, your venues, your events, and links straight back to your socials. Many dancers don't use Instagram at all; this is how they find you.

When you publish an event with us, it appears in five places:

• On the Active Scene site itself— the homepage, your city page, your style page, your organiser page, and the festival index if it's a festival.
• On Google — indexed, ranked, and surfaced for city + style queries.
• In dancers' calendar apps — anyone who subscribes to your organiser page sees your events directly in Apple / Google / Outlook calendar.
• To AI assistants and agentic search— via structured data and our official AI integration, so when dancers ask AI “find me a bachata social this Friday”, your event is in the answer.
• In dancers' Instagram bio link trees — your Active Scene page becomes a link-in-bio destination you add to your own Linktree, Beacons or IG profile. A free, perpetual, ambient marketing surface that sends dancers straight to your schedule.

Active Scene lists organisers who run welcoming, respectful events. That standard matters — it's a meaningful part of why dancers trust the directory. By being listed, you're part of a community that takes safety, consent and inclusion seriously.

To stay comprehensive for dancers, we build listings automatically from organisers' public websites, Facebook and Instagram. So you may already have a page here — with some of your events on it — before you've ever signed up.

When you claim that page, it becomes yours: from then on, you manage your events, and we stop adding or editing them automatically. Your version always wins. If something we listed is wrong, claiming is the fastest way to fix it (or email us any time and we'll remove it — no questions asked).

Look for the “Are you …? Claim this page” banner on your organiser page, or just start below.

1. Sign in with your email — we send a magic link, no password to remember.
2. Claim your existing page or create a new one in a couple of minutes. Tell us enough to verify you run the organisation.
3. We review it — usually within a day or two — to keep the directory trustworthy.
4. Manage your own events — add weekly classes and socials (with recurrence) and one-off workshops and festivals, edit your profile, and add your logo and flyers.

Your Active Scene page becomes useful the moment you share it. We've built the share kit (in your portal at activescene.org/portal/share) so you can do this in 60 seconds, three ways:

1. Add it to your Linktree, Beacons or IG bio. Three suggested phrases live in your portal — pick the one that fits your voice and paste the URL. Dancers tapping it land on your full schedule and can subscribe to your calendar in one tap.
2. Drop the QR code on print flyers, studio posters or business cards. Anyone with a phone camera scans it and lands on your page. We generate it in SVG and PNG, so it scales to any size.
3. Share the branded image to Instagram Stories. Your portal has a 1080×1080 PNG with your logo, page URL and QR code, ready to post.

Or just send the link in a WhatsApp group: “You can now subscribe to all our events in your phone calendar — link below.” Dancers do the rest.

The portal — claiming your page, your profile, and creating and managing your events — is free, and stays free.

Later we'll add optional paid extras like promoted placements and listing analytics. They'll be clearly marked and entirely optional — and they never buy better editorial treatment (see our disclosures).
