Active Scene is a free public directory of social-dance events in the UK, run by Troc Studio Ltd (CRN 17244336). We keep this short: use the site in good faith, don't abuse it, and don't make it worse for everyone else. The rules below apply to everyone — visitors, organisers, and anyone using our forms or portals.
Don't take what isn't yours
- No scraping or automated harvesting of the site beyond what our robots.txt permits.
- No reverse engineering, framing, mirroring, or republishing Active Scene's editorial content — our city guides and written copy — without our permission.
Don't abuse our forms and portals
- No spamming the suggestion form, contact forms, or organiser portal.
- No impersonating organisers in the portal claim process.
- No posting illegal, harmful, defamatory, or discriminatory content through any portal-facing surface.
- No using the platform to plan or promote harassment of any person or group.
Don't break the platform
No attempts to overload, interfere with, or compromise the platform — including its servers, infrastructure, or any other user's access to it.
If you break these rules
We may suspend or remove content and accounts that breach this policy. In serious cases we'll do so without prior notice.
