Urban kiz (sometimes called ghetto-zouk) is the modern, sharper, breakier evolution of kizomba — French-Angolan in origin and danced to electronic, slowed-down zouk. Distinct scene from traditional kizomba: separate teachers, separate socials, separate festivals. London and Manchester have the most regular socials.
