Argentine tango is the patient one. Classes build up over months rather than weeks; the heart of the scene is the milonga — a social dance evening where you dance in tandas (sets) and codes of the dance floor matter. London, Edinburgh and Brighton have the most active scenes. Festivals usually include maestros invited from Buenos Aires.
