Yes — Active Scene works as an app straight from your browser. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen like any app. No App Store or Play Store download needed.
- How do dancers add it?
- iPhone / iPad (Safari): tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): tap the menu → Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- What do dancers get in the app?
Their saved events and one-tap calendar sync, their tickets and class passes (each with a QR for the door), and quick booking — all in their pocket.
- Do I need to install anything as an organiser?
No. The organiser portal runs in any browser. You're welcome to add it to your home screen too, so the door tool is one tap away on the night.
- Does it work offline?
You can still browse pages you've recently opened if your signal drops. Booking, your wallet and your account need a connection.
- Do my followers hear about changes?
Yes. Dancers who follow you or save an event are told when you add something new — and if you ever have to cancel, everyone who saved it is notified straight away, so nobody turns up to a cancelled class.
- Is it a "real" app?
It's a web app you install (technically a PWA) — no store, no big download, always up to date. It isn't a native App Store / Play Store app, so it doesn't use app-store-only features, but for finding classes, holding tickets and passes, and getting into an event, it works exactly like one.
